This child might even grow up to abuse other children since the cycle tends to repeat themselves. Experiences determine an individuals ethics. honourable beliefs can change over time. In fact, ethical beliefs change and grow as a person ages. A child might lie for maintenance of disapproval, but grow and become a truthful adult. Children learn as they grow. Another example would be a two-y ear-old might hit other children, but find out later hitting is wrong. It depends on how time and experiences change a child. Adults guide childrens ethics, but in the end, experiences dictate a childs ethics and introspection. Finally, the true test of ethics is the reason behind an individuals beliefs. If a person does not steal or identify murder for fear of prison, they are law abiding, not truly ethical. If a person does not steal because it is wrong, this makes them ethical. When a person thinks of others and how they feel about what is honest and wrong, then they are ethical.
